Sep 21: BLT on Homemade Sourdough; Soy Chorizo Tostadas

Lunch

Foodie Philip scored another Sourdough half boule from an neighbor and we made the classic BLT with it.

  • The bread came free
  • Butter Lettuce add 30c per serve
  • Five Kumato were $3.49 and we used two, or 70c per serve
  • Bacon was $4.99 and we used four of 10 slices, or 50c per serve
  • Add 40c for Garlic Spread.

Today’s version was particularly good for $1.90 per serve.

Dinner

We used the remaining Soy Chorizo we’d prepared for the Taco Salad a few nights back, and made meatless Tostadas.

  • Soy Chorizo is $2.29 or 58c per serve
  • Tostados were $1.39 for 21, or 13c per serve
  • Guacamole is $1.10 per serve
  • Five Kumato were $3.49 and we used two, or 70c per serve
  • Add 30c for Salsa.

These were surprisingly filling, with Foodie Greg not finishing his second serve! Overall, pretty good for $2.81 per serve.
