Dec 21: Smoked Trout, Guacamole & Bean Sprouts; Spicy-Sweet Sambal Pork Noodles with Bok Choy

Lunch

For lunch we each had a Smoked Trout, Guacamole & Bean Sprout Sandwich.

  • The Dave’s Killer Bread is 66c per serve
  • The Guacamole Snack Packs are $3.99 for six, and we used one each, or 67c per serve
  • The Sprouts are $2.99 and we use ¼ per sandwich, or 38c per serve
  • We shared a $3.49 can of Smoked Trout, or $1.75 per serve
  • Add 30c for Garlic Spread.

An enjoyable sandwich for $3.76 per serve.

Dinner

Dinner tonight featured a new recipe, Sambal Pork Noodles, and served it with Bok Choy.

  • The pork came from our Keller Crafted meat delivery – 1 lb of ground pork cost $8.31 or $4.16 per serve
  • The Bok Choy was $1.99 or $1.00 per serve
  • The Yaki Soba Noodles were $2.99 and we shared ⅔, or $1.00 per serve
  • Add 55c for seasoning.

Foodie Philip felt it needed more seasoning, but Foodie Greg was happy with it as it was. Full of flavor, it was good for $6.71 per serve.
