Sep 11: Sous vide Rack of Lamb with Farro, Picked Beet and Feta Salad

A trip to Home Depot led to a side trip for Lamb Gyros from New York Chicken and Gyro. We picked up two at $8.17 with tax and tip each.

Dinner

It was time for a sous video Rack of Lamb with Farro, Pickled Beet and Feta Salad.

  • The Rack of Lamb was $28.69, but we split that into two meals of two each, or $7.17 per serve
  • The Feta was $7.99 but we used 1/6 or 67c per serve
  • Pickled beets in vinaigrette are $1.69, of which we used about ⅓ or 28c per serve
  • The farro was $1.79 for the pack, but we shared ⅓ or 10c per serve
  • Add 10c for Apple Cider Vinegar on the salad.

A very tasty meal, for $8.32 per serve, although we have decided that Rack of Lamb should be roasted to render more of the fat.
