Lunch
For lunch we had Shin Ramen with added Coleslaw mix and a touch of Butter for $1.67 per serve.
Dinner
Tonight was the first LACPUG User Group meeting since Feb 2020, which was followed by our regular communal Pizza night at $10.00 per person.
Fresh ingredients, simple techniques and great food.

Lunch
We wanted to try Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar Cheese Spread on a cracker with Green Apple as an alternative Plowman’s Lunch.
While quite tasty, the Cheddar Spread was out of balance (too little) with the rest of the ingredients. At $1.46 per serve, we preferred the traditional.
Dinner
We had a second attempt at Filet Américain with more seasoning, and served with Baguette slices and Endive. There are really three serves of the Filet Américain.
A very tasty meal, and a strong favorite of Foodie Philip, for $4.17 per serve.
Lunch
We mixed it up a bit today. Foodie Philip had a Kumato and Mayonnaise sandwich, while Foodie Greg had a Chip Sandwich. For both we had Sourdough Bread.
We both enjoyed our sandwiches for $1.59 per serve.
Dinner
A warm evening made grilling Lamb Loin Chops a very pleasant experience. We served with an Arugula, Feta and Raspberry Salad.
A very tasty meal enjoyed in the waning evening light, for $7.58 per serve.
Lunch
As it was a month since we last had a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, it was time for one today, for $11.85 per serve with a shared Fries.
Dinner
Because of heat predictions we swapped our Meatless Monday to today and enjoyed Folded Eggs on Avocado Toast, with either Chili Onion Crisp or Sriracha Sauce on top.
A very tasty meal for $1.65 per serve.
Lunch
Once again we enjoyed a Speck and Arugula Pannini.
A great sandwich for $3.23 per serve
Dinner
Who wouldn’t want sous vide (and seared) Duck Breast on Yakisoba Noodles with Garlic Bok Choy.
A very tasty meal for $8.57 per serve.
Lunch
We repeated our Ciabatta Baguette with Breakfast Ham and Gouda.
A tasty sandwich for $1.95 per serve.
Dinner
Instead of a Rice Bowl, we prepared a Stir-fry of Baby Corn, Coleslaw Mix and Bean Sprouts in a very Gingery Sauce.
Other than missing a thickening agent, the sauce was very tasty. A satisfying meal for $4.61 per serve.
Lunch
For lunch we had Shin Ramen with a touch of Butter for $1.67 per serve.
Dinner
A return to our Warm Shredded Lamb on Hummus, tonight with Dolmas, Mint and Moonblushed Cherry Tomatoes.
The Dolmas worked very well with the Shredded Lamb. A very tasty meal for $4.54 per serve.
Lunch
One more Smoked Salmon Bagel is never enough.
A great sandwich for $1.50.
Dinner
We took the remaining Pork Belly Porchetta slices and roasted them for another hour and a half, which is what we should have done in the first place. With the fat rendered it was a much more peasant and still very tasty. A great meal for $4.19 per serve.
Lunch
We finished a par-baked Ciabatta Baguette and heated some Breakfast Ham and Gouda in the same oven. Add some Moonblushed Cherry Tomatoes and you have a sandwich.
Warming the ingredients was the key to a successful sandwich for $1.95 per serve.
Dinner
While it takes a long time to cook, Lamb Rogen Josh is simple to prepare: add the Lamb Shoulder meat and one jar of Kashmiri Simmer Sauce to a pot. Prepare some rice a few hours later!
A simple, but quite tasty, meal for $6.54 per serve.
Lunch
For lunch we enjoyed a Smoked Salmon Bagel.
A pretty tasty sandwich for $1.50 per serve.
Dinner
After a very good Porchetta in Italy we decided to try it with a rolled Pork Belly on special at Whole Foods. We unrolled it, added fresh herbs, and then rolled and tied it again.
We were cautious with our cooking time, keeping to the minimum temperature, but in hindsight, it could have used more time to render out the fat. It was a very tasty meal for $4.19 per serve.
