Dinner

Although we normally get the Marinated Skirt Steak Dinner, tonight we decided to try the same Steak on a Salad for $12.81 per serve, which was far better than we expected. We felt the Onion Rings didn’t fit, but otherwise excellent.

We also purchased a “slice” of New York Cheesecake, which was very good.

Sep 6: Watermelon Salad

  • Arugula adds 40c per serve

Dinner

It’s been a long time since we’ve had Nigella Lawson’s Watermelon Salad. Over the years we’ve simplified it a little, dropping Olives and Parsley, but retained the essential flavors.

  • Add 20c for Shallots
  • The Endive were $2.99 and we shared one, or 50c per serve
  • Add 20c for Cornichon
  • The half a Baguette was $1.29 or 65c per serve.

We felt that it could use more of the flavor components and a little more mayonnaise, but it was very tasty for $5.01 per serve.

  • The Ciabatta is 58c per serve
  • Arugula adds 40c per serve
